If you Google “WITB” you will find over 11,000,000 results detailing what golfers have in their bags.
However, as anyone knows who has played this game for any period of time, what’s in the bag today may be gone tomorrow. Different courses sometimes requires a different setup to play your best against “Ole Man Par”, such as, hybrids instead of fairway woods (windy conditions), change in wedge setup depending on how tight the lies (bounce), one length irons, or perhaps, a set of irons from the 1990s’ as a benchmark of where my game really is. Therefore, I have two or three “go to” setups that will see time in my bag in 2022.
Although the rules allow for carrying 14 clubs in your bag, most of the time I play 12 or 13 clubs. What drives that decision is the number of wedges I put into play. Normally my bag consist of driver, two or three fairway woods (3/4, 5/6, 7/8) , a 26 degree hybrid, 7, 8, 9, PW, and AW irons and 52, 56, 60 degree. And, of course, my putter.
With all of that being said, the following are the three different bag configurations for the 2022 season. My initial go to setup in the bag this year is the Cleveland Launcher XL driver, Cobra fairway woods and hybrid, Cleveland Launcher XL irons, Cleveland CBX2 wedges, and Toulon Le Mans putter.
However, additionally, irons that will see some play this year are the Ping G425s and the Cobra F9 One Length irons.
